BEIS Annual questionnaire for licensed gas suppliers

BEIS conducts a quarterly survey of major gas suppliers and an annual survey of all gas suppliers. Gas suppliers are required to provide this data for the calendar year by mid February (for instance, by 16th February 2018 for 2017 data).

 

The survey requires:

 

  1. A breakdown of sales of gas in the year by GWh or millions of therms, whether actual or estimated data, across the following categories
  • Domestic
  • Electricity generation
  • Energy industry
  • Other industry
  • Other final users
  1. Whether the supplier expects the following calendar year’s sales to exceed 1,750 GWh (60 million therms)
  2. Estimates of the following year’s sales in 1.
  3. Company details and a contact point.
