Distribution Connection and Use of System Agreement (DCUSA)

Paul Fox • Jul 29, 2018

What is the DCUSA?

The Distribution Connection and Use of System Agreement (DCUSA) is the industry framework for connection to and use of the electricity distribution networks.

The DCUSA defines the charges associated with the connection to and use of the electricity distribution network in one centralised document, replacing a number of bi-lateral contracts.

All UK electricity suppliers must be party to the DCUSA and it currently carries no accession fee. Off the Shelf supply businesses are normally registered to the DCUSA as part of the Elexon Qualification Process.
