Dyball Associates – a leading software and solutions provider to the energy supply sector – has worked with Square1 Energy throughout the market entry and licencing process, to trade as a gas and electricity provider. 

Square 1 is a new independent UK Supplier of electricity and gas, entrant to the energy supply market with a focus on excellent customer service.


From its inception, Square 1 has utilised the full suite of services and solutions provided by Dyball Associates and is now able to operate as an effective energy supplier.


Customer service


Square 1 is able to operate in the market, provide fast and efficient customer service and produce accurate energy bills.


With Dyball Associates Customer Relationship Management system, Square 1 was able to take operational control of its customer and customer related activities and by utilising Dybal’s communication tools, GASMAN and REGMAN both its domestic and SME customers can be managed through one system, streamlining the entire process.


The secure and configurable web platform gives Square 1 a complete view of its customers needs and provides them with the ability to integrate telephone and email solutions seamlessly reducing back office work and providing a greater customer experience.


Energy billing   


Dyball’s CRM also includes an energy billing system that allows Square 1 to schedule and produce ad-hoc energy bills in their own bespoke branded billing template. The CRM also allows them to run the entire billing process with any errors or exceptions quarantined reducing the chance of inaccurate energy bills being produced.  


Dyball’s CRM also automates numerous other functions including:

  • The creation of Ofgem compliant energy bill templates
  • Direct Debit payment and sales ledger integration
  • Energy billing management that allows the management of bills/statements, billing frequency schedules, issues/errors management, unbilled reports
  • Energy tariff and pricing rates for commercial energy usage
  • Automated cancellation and rebilling process
  • Creation of fatal errors and warnings for review
  • Easily document change of Tenancy, Readings, Prepayment Management, Tariff Management, Customer Indicators


Smart Meters


Thanks to Dyball’s CRM and DCC Adapter, Square 1 is now able to install and maintain its customers with smart meters and via Dyball’s suite of software solution has resulted in an integrated service and improved customer experience.
